The raw rubber mixtures we process are purchased from renowned German manufactures and are subject to strict quality standards. Thus and our proven production facilities and methods lead to the uniform technical and physical values of our high quality products.

Rubber-metal compounds

A rubber-metal compound is formed from molded rubber parts, semi-finished products and metal. Rubber-metal compounds are used in a wide variety of industrial sectors. Rubber-metal compounds can act as dampers, for example.

Materials and construction of a rubber-metal compound

We manufacture composite parts of metal and rubber. A rubber-metal compound consists of an elastomer and a carrier part made of metal. We almost exclusively use – unless otherwise stated – rubber qualities of natural rubber. The metal carrier may be made of various materials, such as e.g. Steel or stainless steel. The bond between elastomer and metal part takes place in rubber-metal compounds by a two-coat adhesion promoter. Intensive pre-treatment of the metals and application of the adhesion promoter components results in a compound between the rubber compound and the metal during the vulcanization process, which normally exceeds the breaking strength of the elastomer.

Application examples for rubber-metal connections

Rubber-metal joints are very versatile and can range from small components to large components for mechanical engineering. They are used, for example, in the following areas:

  • elastic bearings
  • Absorption of vibrations
  • Reduction of accelerations and vibrations
  • Insulation of structure-borne noise

The metal contained in the composite part carries the forces acting on the rubber-metal compound.
